Gather Your Materials

For this project, you'll need:

Get Ready To Wrap

Trace two concentric circles onto your cardboard. I used a small bowl and a small glass. Cut out your wreath shape.

You'll also need to get the yarn ready for little hands to wrap. I found it easiest to wrap our yarn into small balls that would fit through the center of the ring.

Next, color the cardboard with a green marker. This way, if the yarn doesn't cover the wreath form completely, there will be green peeking through instead of brown. Tape one end of your yarn to the back of the cardboard.

Wrap And Decorate

All that's left to do is wrap! Let your child go around and around until the wreath form is mostly covered.

Once your child has wrapped as much as they'd like to, snip the yarn and tape or glue the end to the back.

Glue gemstones or sequins on to your wreath to decorate it. I realized after we had finished crafting that I didn't take any pictures of this step!

Add a Ribbon For Hanging

Use your glue gun to attach a small loop of Christmas ribbon that you can use to hang the wreath on your Christmas tree. You could also just tie a ribbon around the wreath if you didn't want to use hot glue.
