Several weeks ago my daughter had her first ballet recital. The girls were all super sweet in their pretty costumes and little hair buns. I somehow managed to be the lucky mom who was responsible for managing her class backstage before and during the recital. Whoopie! Faced with the prospect of needing to quietly and calmly entertain 7 little girls for up to 2 hours, I (naturally) turned to crafts!
The little ballerinas loved making this Beautiful Ballerina Craft with a pretty tissue paper tutu. It's the perfect ballet craft for any little dancer.

Gather And Prepare Your Materials
- cardstock
- printable ballerina
- crayons
- school glue
- pink tissue paper (or whatever color you prefer)
Print a ballerina on sturdy cardstock. We found several that we liked at Super Coloring but you can look around to find something that you like. The ballerina just needs to have a tutu of some kind.
Cut tissue paper into small squares, about 1" x1". We used several shades of pink.
Decorate Your Ballerina
Begin by coloring the ballerina. You can skip coloring the tutu if you like since it will be covered by tissue paper.
Maggie wasn't quite as in to this craft since she had just made one during her recital! She choose a ballerina with a tiny little tutu so that her frills wouldn't take so long.
