These Sequin Christmas Ornaments were so fun and easy to make! My daughters are 3 & 5. There are huge differences in their fine motor abilities, so I sometime have trouble coming up with crafts that are easy enough for Maggie, my youngest, but also fun and challenging enough for Lena, my oldest. Since they both love sparkles and anything shiny, they were eager to dive in to this craft and were so pleased with how they turned out. These ornaments are just right for toddlers, preschoolers, elementary children, and even adults.

Gather your materials.
- wooden die-cut shapes - Ours were very inexpensive at our local craft store, but this assortment looks like a good option.
- sequins - We had several colors and styles left over from precious projects. This assortment would be good to get you started.
- white school glue
- small paint brush
- ribbon
If you didn't have wooden shapes, you could even trace or draw Christmas shapes on cardboard and cut them out instead.
Pour some glue into a small dish. Use the paintbrush to lightly coat your wooden shape.
Place the sequins on your ornaments. Younger children would benefit from having the sequins sorted by color before they began. Lena enjoyed rummaging through to find what she wanted.
Older children and adults can make stripes or other patterns.
Maggie preferred to just sprinkle the sequins on, and I think hers turned out just as nice as the others!
Set aside to dry. Add a ribbon.
Now you've got some serious Christmas tree bling!
Be sure to write your child's name and the date on the back so you'll always have your sequin ornaments as a nice keepsake.
